What can Computer Medics® Live do for me?

4. Computer optomization by removing old programs and remnants of previously removed programs. The removal of unnecessary startup programs.

How long does the process usually take?
This process can take from 30-120 minutes depending on a few factors. These factors include internet speed, computer speed, how "infected or damaged" the computer is and how many times we have to reboot the computer.

What if you can't connect to me?
Some firewalls may have to be disabled temporarily to give us access. If we still cannot connect, the problems on your computer may be so severe that it requires that a technician have physical access to it. In this case you will not be charged.

What if we find it's cheaper to just replace my computer?

Computer Medics® can usually determine this within 30 minutes at which time you will be informed and charged the minimum rate even if it takes longer than 30 minutes.

What if my computer requires a technician to physically work on my computer?
Same answer as above.

How secure is this?

The software used by Computer Medics® creates a "tunnel" between you and the technician. There is no confidential information transmitted by either computer. All data being transferred between the computers is compressed. A hacker would need knowledge of when the session was happening, have access to the stream of data and then know how to decode the compressed stream before they would finally be able to see the session. This would be very difficult.

What happens if the problems come back?

After your problem is initially resolved you will be emailed a receipt giving the name, phone number, and email address of the technician that helped you. We are committed to your satisfaction, but sometimes fixing one thing causes another problem or the problem comes back after a few days. If this happens please contact the technician to setup another session and resolve this issue. There is no charge for this warranty session unless a "new" problem is detected.

I own a business, can you provide bulk or prepaid service for my office?
If you're a business owner, Remote Support can save you time and money because it can get your employees back to work faster. Ask your technician about prepaid Remote Support Plans.
